How it works

From a probe in the ground to a decision.

Probes measure the soil in each zone, weather arrives every hour, and the platform turns both into a clear picture of every zone, with guidance you can act on.

Under the hood

Where your data goes.

Three kinds of data flow in: what the probe measures, what the weather is doing in that zone, and what you did there. One platform brings them together.

  1. Soil probe in each zoneSeven soil readings over LTE-M or NB-IoT
  2. Weather for each zoneHourly, at the zone’s own coordinates
  3. Your field recordsActivities and photos from the web or your phone

Getting started

Up and running in four steps.

From an empty map to a clear picture of every zone. Most of it happens on its own.

  1. Add your farm and draw your zones

Outline your paddocks on satellite imagery and split them into the zones you already manage: by soil, crop or history.

  2. Place a probe in each zone

Put a probe in the zones you want to measure and assign it on the map. There is no gateway or farm network to set up.

  3. Readings start on their own

Weather arrives every hour for every zone, and each probe reports on its own schedule. There is nothing to type in.

  4. Act, and keep a record

Check seeding readiness, log what you did with photos, and in the canola pilot, see growth stage, yield and nitrogen guidance.

Honest status

What’s live today, and what’s in pilot.

We would rather tell you exactly where AgrivaCT is than oversell it. Here is what works today, and what is still being tested.

Live today

Live in the product today

  • Cellular soil probeMoisture, soil temperature, EC, pH, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from each zone, sent over LTE-M or NB-IoT. No gateway to install.
  • Farm map & zonesDraw farm boundaries and management zones on satellite imagery, then place and assign a probe in each zone.
  • Weather for every zoneForecast, rainfall, temperature, wind, humidity and evapotranspiration at each zone’s own coordinates, refreshed hourly.
  • Live and historical soil dataEvery probe reading per zone, with fortnightly season snapshots from the day the zone was created.
  • Seeding readinessA readiness score for each zone against crop thresholds for canola, wheat, maize and sunflower, with a confidence score beside it.
  • Field records with photosLog planting, spraying, fertilising, irrigation, harvest and more, with up to five photos per entry.
  • iOS and Android appYour zones, field records, zone data and probe set-up, on your phone.
  • Remote probe managementSet sampling and reporting intervals, enabled sensors and calibration from the dashboard, and inspect every packet a probe sends.
  • Team accessInvite agronomists and staff, give each person a role, and limit access farm by farm.
  • Four languagesThe dashboard runs in English, Hindi, Marathi and Telugu.
In pilot

In pilot: canola decision support

  • Growth stage from heat unitsGrowing Degree Days, counted from each zone’s sowing date, show which stage a canola crop has reached.
  • Two-layer yield predictionA crop-science baseline corrected by a machine-learning model. Both layers are shown, with a High or Low confidence label.
  • The nitrogen rate that paysA range of rates evaluated for each zone, with fertiliser cost, expected revenue and margin laid out, and how the answer was reached.
  • Applications rememberedRecord what you actually applied. It is carried into later recommendations, and its effect fades over time.
  • Economics per zoneCost, revenue, margin and nitrogen use efficiency for each zone, side by side.

Pilot features are built for canola and are being tested before general release. Results are provisional until the model has been validated against real paddocks.
